Ireland and England

Well, once we left Stirling we departed for the Fast Ferry from Cairnryan in Scotland, to Larne in Northern Ireland. It took just over an hour to get to Larne. We then had a look at our caravan site and thought that we still had lots of daylight and drove up to Bally-something. We then stayed at Silvercliffs Holiday Park, it was TERRIBLE! You had to press the button in the shower every second otherwise the water would stop!

In the morning we went and saw the Giant's Causeway, natural rock pillars that stick out of the coastline. We also saw Carrick-a-rede bridge, (a rope bridge suspended across a massive gap).

The next day we drove to Blarney  Castle, where I kissed the blarney stone, (a stone that rests in the final floor of the castle and you have to go over a drop while someone holds your legs). At Blarney Castle they also had the Poisons Garden, (a garden full of poisonous plants that can do things to you), it was very interesting.

The next morning we went to the Waterford Crystal factory where they make things made of crystal that are insanely cool. We then drove to Roundwood caravan park, where we stayed the night. We met Fiona, Brian and their son Danny. We had a great time with them.

In the morning we had to get up at 5:30 to catch the ferry from Dublin, (the capital of the Republic of Ireland), to HollyHead, (a place in North Wales). We drove to Lady Heyes Caravan Park and had dinner with Nigel and Sian and their son Luke. It was LOVELY! I had Turkey for dinner. In the morning we drove to Chester to drop off our motorhome and pick up our car.

We then drove to Bristol to see Rick and Wendy and their kids, Stephen and Charlie. When we got there I played Left For Dead 2 with Stephen and I was terrible at it but I got a bit better. Stephen went to a party so I slept in his bed and it was really comfy.   The next day Stephen and I were playing games all day. The next day we went to Bath, (where the Romans found Hot springs and built a massive temple around it. BYE!

Week one: Manchester, Chester, Haltwhistle, Edinburgh and Stirling!

Well, this week has been an interesting one, 5 cities, in not even one week.

So, once we had flown into Manchester, we immediately went to Bewley's Hotel for a nice sleep. At 3:33 AM I woke up and also woke up Mum and Dad. At 6:00 or so, we went and had a lovely buffet breakfast in the dining room and then checked out.
We took the shuttle to the airport arrivals terminal and were taken to Chester Motor home hire by the owner of the business.

We then picked up our motor home and drove to Hadrian's Wall, a massive wall that was built by the Romans as a military fortification to keep out the Scots.

We spent the night just out of Haltwhistle at a caravan and camping park. In the morning we stopped at Alnwick Castle, the scene of some parts of the Harry Potter movies, on the way to the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh.

We spent the night in Mortonhall Caravan and Camping park. The next day we went all around Edinburgh and had a great time there. We had a look at Edinburgh castle (from the outside). We also climbed the Scott monument, a monument built in honour of Sir Walter Scott, the bard and writer extraordinaire. Here is a photo of the Scott monument:

We then came to where we are now, Stirling, and climbed the Wallace monument, a monument to Sir William Wallace who was a resistance fighter and helped fight for Scottish independence and is now a national hero. In two days we have climbed 2 monuments totalling 533 steps!

Today, we went to Stirling Castle and had a ball, it was awesome, here's a few pics:

School is out! (For me at least!)

OK, so this is my blog where I put some school stuff and mostly, my adventures in Europe.
Tomorrow night we fly to Perth and then, at 6:00 AM on Wednesday fly to Dubai, in the U.A.E and probably have no sleep on the 11 hour flight. We then have little relief at the airport when we have a brief period in the airport terminal. A while later, we board the flight to Manchester airport to start our adventures in Europe! Until next time, bye!
